The German AIDS Foundation
The work of the German AIDS Foundation is guided by the preamble to its statutes, which reads as follows:
"The German AIDS Foundation wants to improve the living conditions of HIV-positive and people with AIDS and to strengthen their self-confidence so that they can lead a responsible, meaningful and socially accepted life."
Their mission: Help for people with HIV and AIDS in need
The German AIDS Foundation has been working for people with HIV and AIDS in need since 1987 - in Germany and beyond.
For them, the focus is on people! Their help directly benefits people in need. For 30 years now, they have endeavored to keep the autonomy and independence of every person affected by HIV and AIDS as long as possible. They stand for togetherness and mutual understanding.

The German AIDS Foundation, a foundation under civil law, has been helping HIV-positive and AIDS sufferers in material emergencies since 1987. She also supports projects for those affected.
To date, the foundation has received more than 86,000 applications from people in need and project promoters. She helped those in need individually and through project funding with more than 45 million euros.
The new drugs extend life - if not for all sufferers. The social situation of many of those affected did not improve. Those who live longer with AIDS often live longer in poverty.
