About

The Deutsche Gesellschaft Fuer Sonnenenergie S.V. Berlin Branderburg was established in 1982.

Since its establishment, it had trained for than 6,000 people in the field of solar energy and renewable energy. The Berlin Solar School also conducts in in-house training for many solar companies and international schools throughout the world.

The DGS publishes three standard works in the field of renewable energy

  • Guide to Photovoltaic Systems
  • Guide to Biomass
  • And other publications

Services in the field of solar energy

With over more than 25 years expertise and experience, the DGS Berlin Brandenburg is part of many development projects (eg 50 kW facade plant in Berlin-Marzahn, energy concept ARENA in Berlin-Treptow, 5 megawatt plant in Leipzig country, etc.)

Other services includes consultancy, reports generation, income calculation, troubleshooting and system monitoring and the DGS Solar Seal.   

Advisory and Consulting
 
As a non-profit association the DGS Berlin Brandenburg partners with individuals, companies, public institutions, such as the state government of Berlin and Brandenburg and the German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). DGS Berlin Brandenburg conducts advisory and consulting in all areas related to renewable energy.
