For the Germans resident here, we are citizens' office and foreign notary, for German tourists contact point in emergencies. South Africans from our district get the visa for their trip to Germany.

Together with the German International School Cape Town, the Goethe Center Cape Town and the German Academic Exchange Service as well as with many local partners - communities abroad, schools, universities - we promote the cultural and scientific encounter between Germany and the Cape region.

Together with the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Southern Africa, Cape Town branch, we are the contact and advocacy group for German companies in the district. Our aim is to maintain and support trade, investment and economic policy dialogue in both directions.

We work hand in hand with the German Embassy in Pretoria. We support the embassy in its political work in Cape Town, especially during the sessions of the South African parliament and during information visits by German political delegations.
