Gesellschaft für Anlagen- und Reaktorsicherheit (GRS) carries out research and analysis in its fields of competence, namely reactor safety, radioactive waste management as well as radiation and environmental protection. GRS is Germany’s central expert organisation in the field of nuclear safety and radioactive waste management.

GRS is a non-profit and independent organisation. Its activities are not profit-driven but rather serve to protect man and the environment. Its statements are only bound by technical/scientific principles. They are based on knowledge and experience from own research and development activities, from in-depth safety analyses, comprehensive evaluations of operating experience and from international co-operation over many years.
