GEVISA was founded in 1983 in El Salvador, during the civil war. Despite the difficulties of the time they position themselves in the market as a reliable company representations and imports. With the passing of time and the arrival of peace in El Salvador they focus more and more in the area of Graphic Arts. In 1999 they opened offices in Guatemala and five years later in Costa Rica. 

A very important fact in the history of GEVISA, 2003 is when they get the representation of the KBA group, the machinery manufacturer world's oldest printing, based in Germany. Since then, GEVISA Group, as it is known, becomes a company that also distributes printing machinery.

After acquiring representation of KBA they have added many other lines also machinery, including cutters, piles turners, collators and gluing box. They can say with pride and confidence, that today they have products and services of the highest quality at the disposal of all the Central American market.
