Ghacem is the leading cement company in Ghana. The company has played an important role of building Ghana through more than 50 years. Ghacem has two cement grinding plants in Tema and Takoradi, and a network of sales offices and depots throughout the country.
In 1967 Ghacem was established with high hopes of prosperous future, with the help and guidance of the late Dr. J. A. Addison, whose pioneering effort set the tone for a lasting legacy of Ghacem.
Heidelbergcement is now the majority owners with 93.1%, Ghana government with 5% and the late Dr. J. A. Addison with 1.9% shares respectively.
