About

GHESA Ingeniería y Tecnología was initially created with the objective of developing projects for the electricity sector, especially in the generation area. Subsequently, an extensive process of diversification has been promoted, oriented to other fields with synergies in technological and management aspects.

The creation of GHESA, in 1963, was an initiative of companies in the electricity sector in collaboration with the North American company Gibbs & Hill, Inc. (NY), which assumed the role of technological partner until the sale of its participation to Spanish partners in 1992

In 1971, on the occasion of the launching of the 2nd phase of the Nuclear Program in Spain, GHESA promoted the creation of Empresarios Agrupados (EA), in collaboration with other Spanish engineering companies, with the aim of concentrating capacities and resources for the development of engineering. nuclear power plants and all kinds of large thermoelectric generation projects. EA activities are managed through an Economic Interest Grouping (EA, AIE).

Currently, GHESA, with more than 500 employees and Group Members, with global resources of around 1000 people, is one of the most important engineering groups in Europe, with technological management capabilities for the development of complex projects of various kinds. at the national and international level.
