Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction
Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction
About

Its mission at Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction (GER3) is to assist those affected by natural disasters and conflicts globally.

It aims to help them build back better following disasters through integrated relief, recovery, and reconstruction services.

GER3 was founded in 2016 to address several weaknesses inherent in humanitarian responses.

Its relief efforts emphasize disaster debris management, community engagement, and bridging the gap between emergency aid and long-term recovery.

When crises or natural disasters strike, our team rapidly springs into action. It places a particular focus on helping affected homes, schools, and health facilities.

Its core focus areas:

  • Debris Management—Disaster debris removal must occur before people can return and begin rebuilding. Debris also frequently limits the ability of humanitarian actors to access affected individuals.

GER3 applies a sustainable and environmentally focused approach to emergency debris removal, creating new livelihood opportunities and rebuilding communities.

  • Supporting Vulnerable Communities—Disasters often leave specific vulnerable communities behind. We design our programs to help the most at-risk communities and individuals.
  • Integrating Reconstruction—Many communities do not see the reconstruction process start for months or even years after immediate relief efforts.

GER3 integrates rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts at an early stage to allow for a faster and more streamlined recovery process.

It is committed to ensuring all our efforts are sustainable, culturally appropriate, and community-led.
