GlobalGiving's online marketplace allows donors to find and fund grassroots projects that appeal to their specific interests. GlobalGiving offers projects in more than 100 countries, in a variety of themes ranging from education and health care to economic development and the environment. Global Giving is real marketplace for philanthrophy that is open year round and operated virtually. GlobalGiving is changing the way people give, offering donors a transparent, high-impact giving experience. You choose where you want your money to go, and we get it there, quickly and efficiently. GlobalGiving enables you to fund the underdog. We give access to new sources of funds to creative ideas and projects that might never be funded through traditional structures and development and philanthropy approaches. Unlike a traditional foundation, GlobalGiving does not provide grants. Instead, we offer organizations an easy-to-use fundraising and donor management system, fundraising tools and training, and access to our corporate partners and media outreach. Structure GlobalGiving is supported by leaders in philanthropy, official aid, and the private sector, including HP, U.S. AID, The Skoll Foundation, The Omidyar Network, The Sall Family Foundation, The Hewlett Foundation, The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, and The W.K. Kellogg Foundation, among others. Part of the costs of the initial launch and operation were covered by investors in ManyFutures, Inc., a social enterprise that collaborate d with the GlobalGiving Foundation to build the web platform and create awareness. As of December 2008, ManyFutures is a formal subsidiary of the GlobalGiving Foundation. The longer goal is to make GlobalGiving largely self-sustaining based on donor facilitation fees; fee-based services provided to corporate and other institutional partners; and marketing sponsorships.   Project Catalog We offer more than 800 high-impact grassroots level projects in over 100 countries worldwide.
