Glocal Roots in Switzerland
In order to become autonomous and self-reliant in Switzerland, people with refugee background need to be included into Swiss society and they need to be able to earn their own living.
This is why Glocal Roots' projects in Switzerland focus on fostering social and economic inclusion for people with refugee backgrounds.
They do this through activities connecting Swiss citizens and ‘newcomers’ as well as through a work integration scheme that they are currently developing.
Projects Abroad
Glocal Roots efforts abroad focus on supporting refugees living in urban areas as well as in camps to become more autonomous and self-reliant again. They do this by establishing structures, platforms and ‘toolboxes’ that can be used by refugees to become agents of change for themselves and their communities.
