The Gloria Kriete Foundation was established in December 2004 by her seven children. This non-profit organization is born primarily to preserve her memory and transcend the altruistic spirit she lived under across new generations.
Another of the Foundation’s goal is to channel through a formal entity the donations made by the Kriete family. The Gloria Kriete Foundation is a family foundation that promotes a spirit of service within its members and that works on behalf of El Salvador’s most needy.

Centro de Capacitación Gloria de Kriete

The primary goal of Centro de Capacitación Gloria Kriete is to change the quality of life, through complementary education, of Salvadorian youths with high academic performance and who study in public schools.
Four years ago, Fundación Gloria Kriete opened the Centro de Capacitación Gloria Kriete in San Salvador. This center currently benefits 300 youths between the ages of 14 to 16 years, from 57 public schools in the San Salvador area. These youths:
In addition to attending their regular school classes, attend the Centro de Capacitación Gloria Kriete where they take English, computer and values classes 3 hours a day, five days a week, during three years.
PROGRAMA DE SALUD RURAL INTEGRAL (PROSARÍN)

Fundación Gloria de Kriete has been supporting PROSARÍN for more than 10 years; this is a program that was created to help the most vulnerable rural populations, focusing in health issues such as vaccination controls, child nutrition, pregnant mothers, and the elderly.
CAMBIANDO VIDAS II

The Fundación Gloria Kriete, aware of the need of visual health services for the Salvadorian citizens, and to support the work of FUDEM, sponsors the CAMBIANDO VIDAS program since 2007. CAMBIANDO VIDAS is an eye surgery program aimed at correcting strabismus in children with limited economic resources, as well as Cataract surgeries in adults of working age.
Thanks to this joined effort FUDEM has become the first reference center for strabismus surgeries in the country. It is the preferred private institution for the treatment of this disease and other lesser but equally important eye illnesses among the needy people of our country.
PHASE 1: CAMBIANDO VIDAS (2007-2008)
500 surgeries were performed to correct strabismus in school age children.
PHASE 2: CAMBIANDO VIDAS II (2009-2011)
Goal: To benefit 566 adults with cataract surgeries and 339 children with surgeries to correct strabismus, cataract and other visual conditions.
LUDOTECA HOSPITALARIA GLORIA DE KRIETE

Ludoteca Hospitalaria Gloria Kriete operates at the Hospital de Niños Benjamin Bloom since 2005. In 2010 it operated temporarily at FUNTER and, at the beginning of 2011, the Ludoteca returned to Hospital Bloom with all its therapeutic team.
The 6 therapists, psychologists and 40 volunteers develop the program "Learning by playing". This wonderful program encourages children hospitalized in different specialties of the hospital to receive medical treatment positively, eat better, to entertain themselves with other sick children, to interact with their parents, among many other benefits. With this innovative program children can improve their motor skills, self-esteem and the joy of being children, and to share with others. The good mood of the child and his willingness to take his medicines makes his stay at the hospital a pleasant one and a shorter one.
Ludoteca Hospitalaria Gloria de Kriete currently provides its services in the areas of Orthopedics, Oncology, Plastic Surgery and Nephrology of the hospital. Also, heads of the Infectious Diseases and Intensive Care departments of the hospital requested our services with patients in critical condition, with the purpose of helping the children improve their mood, thereby reducing their recovery time. In 2011 our program “Learning by Playing” serviced 10,000 children at the hospital.
MUNICIPIO EMPREDEDOR

Municipio Emprendedor is a program designed by Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios (ESEN) and operated by FUSAL, which provides training seminars and workshops to families in productive activities, such as agriculture, cooking, customer service, candy making, jams, crafts, English and tourism among others, in order to help them achieve self-sustainability, originally ran on a single municipality, as follows: "Apaneca Emprendedora."
Fundación Gloria Kriete has sponsored this program since the inception of FUSAL´s income generating project “Libras de Amor” in 2007. This program is born out of the need to help families with the resources they need to improve their quality of life and to decrease the malnutrition levels of the children attended by Libras de Amor. The program was initially iimplemented in Apaneca and, the success was such that it has now been implemented in the municipalities of Santa Catarina Masahuat and San Antonio del Monte.
Fundacion Gloria Kriete supports the Income Generating program, which helps the most vulnerable families in 4 other municipalities: Ataco, Guaymango, San Julian and Santa Ana.
CENTRO DE DÍA EN SOYAPANGO

Fundación Salvadoreña de la Tercera Edad (FUSATE) contributes to improve the quality of life of more than 109,000 Salvadorian elders, providing them with the following services: health, nutrition, physical and occupational therapy, education, recreational activities, among others, through their eight Centros de Día nationwide.
Fundación Gloria Kriete specifically supports the Centro Integral de Día in Soyapango by supporting the eight specialized professionals and the rest of the team that work in the center: a social worker, a general doctor, a dentist, and a physiotherapist, among others.
A monthly average of 15,000 senior adults is currently taken care of at the Centro de Día in Soyapango, which is an average of 237 elders per day

Fundación de la Fraternidad Misionera de ONUVA
Annual Investment: $50,000.00
The funds donated to Fraternidad Misionera de ONUVA are used to cover the cost of education and health needs, located in the San Salvador volcano area, where there is a high incidence of street gangs.
As of 2011, ONUVA has a school with 450 students from 1st to 12th grade, a church, a child welfare center with 135 children and a health clinic, where they serve more than 1,000 people a month. It also operates other community programs in different villages and communities, where more than 40,000 people live.
Hogar de Niños Inmaculado Corazón de María
Annual Investment: $36,000.00
Founded more than 12 years ago by the Hermanas Carmelitas of Sonsonate, the orphanage provides the nutritional, school and medical needs of 90 children (interns and day students) that come from families in extreme poverty, or are the children of single mothers, or that have been abandoned.
These children attend the orphanage’s school from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, where they are served a mid-morning snack, lunch, and a mid-afternoon snack. The Sisters are their home, their family and are responsible for providing them with an education, health and all the needs that these children have.
The Gloria de Kriete Foundation contributes with a percentage of the operating costs of the orphanage.
