Arun Tyagi ji was born on 15th aug 1962 in sakariya village of satna district of Madhya Pradesh to Mr.Janki Prasad Mishra and Mrs. Betibai Mishra.
Shri Arun Tyagi was born in a small family in an active village in Satna district. His father Mr. Janaki Prasad Mishra was a teacher by profession and mother Mrs. daughter Bai Mishra was a house wife. His life went through a lot of struggles, but since childhood he was heavily influenced by the ideology of Gandhiji and Vinoba Bhave. He continued to fight for the rights of children from the time of school. He was in the forefront of social service from the time of college. He fought many battles for the rights of the lower and the oppressed by adopting the path of satyagraha and non-violence. Out of which the fees of tribal students were waived, free education of poor students, JP movement fought against many social evils. Due to which the society gave him the title “Tyagi”. Since Tyagi ji was quite intelligent. He was elected to the Energy Development Corporation, and was posted to Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. According to the title, Mr. Tyagi saw the situation of the tribals there and to change his life, he gave up his government job. Mr. Tyagi waged a statewide agitation against Jamuna gunpowder factory management. In which Rajendra Mishra, Brajkishore Dwivedi, Jayaprakash, Dhruv Singh, Vinoba Bhave and other companions participated with Mr. Tyagi, which resulted in the victory of the workers. This Tyagi ji and Rajendra Mishra ji together formed the Gram Sudhar Samiti.

Shri Tyagi in his 30 years of social life, in many social areas such as water and soil conservation, biodiversity, rights of Dalit and tribal women, domestic violence, land rights, health of women and children, school children and deprived of education. Connecting with the mainstream of education, leadership development of Dalit tribals, empowering women people’s representatives, displacement, work to make women groups self-reliant, environmental development, many hiking efforts to conserve and preserve natural resources etc. done. Social thinkers like him have not happened yet in the entire Vindhya region. He worked on social change by staying on the ground. Shri Tyagi was a favorite of all classes. Soft-spoken, sociable, standing in the sorrow and happiness of everyone and giving all possible help was among his habits. In his life history, he made Khadi his clothes and used to advise him to wear it.
