Resolutely turned towards the future, GTOI has a mission: to be the company of reference and preferably for our customers, our employees and all of our stakeholders, in our core business, which is to design, build and maintain infrastructure. It is through a creative dimension that the innovative technology of our company is expressed, which has been able to provide La Réunion with structuring equipment. Despite its tremendous expansion, it intends to remain a company with a human dimension in order to be able to continue to maintain the values which have contributed to its reputation.
COMPANY HISTORY
Now firmly established in the Reunion Island landscape, GTOI took its first steps in the 1950s under the name of GTE (Les Grands Travaux de l'Est), which was already actively involved in the work of the first corniche road in 1954. The track major achievements is now open for the future company GTOI.
A TURN IN 1981
In 1979, LTPOI, a subsidiary of LTPC and a company of the COLAS group , took over the activities of the local company SEGEFOM.
GTOI was born a few months later, in 1981, from the merger between GTE and LTPOI.
GTOI now fully integrates the COLAS group, world leader in the construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure. Established in mainland France, internationally and overseas, Colas is today a benchmark, with sales in 2012 of 13 billion euros, and a workforce of 63,000 employees in 50 country.
