About

The Greater Easterhouse Alcohol Awareness Project “GEAAP” has been offering a service to the East of Glasgow since 1991. A registered charity in Scotland, charity number SC029951 and a company limited by guarantee registered number 204834,
GEAAP’s aim is “To reduce the harm associated with the use and misuse of alcohol”

To help us achieve the aim they offer various services delivered by both paid staff and volunteers. The core values of all staff and volunteers remain the same, these are 

  • To always work in the best interest of the service user
  • All staff & volunteers will be well trained and appropriately qualifiedAll staff and volunteers working with service users will hold enhanced disclosures from disclosure Scotland
  • All the work will be regularly reviewed and evaluated to ensure best quality of service and high standards of client care
  • All staff & volunteers will respect the dignity, worth & uniqueness of all service users and affirm their autonomy
  • All staff & volunteers will respect service user’s individuality. GEAAP will not practice, condone or abet discrimination or oppressive behaviour in terms of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, spirituality, disability or impairmentAll staff & volunteers will work within the law
