In 1981, young Hans Jürgen Grimm established a company for scientific instruments focusing on “Particle Measurement” and called it “GRIMM Labortechnik GmbH & Co. KG”. 

In the course of their 30 year history of their company a good and loyal dealer network has been developed, with supports today worldwide their customers. In addition also a service network for their equipment has been established and is operating to their expectations. This support-core has now expanded to over 30 countries and is annually updated with their newer technologies. At the right side is a part of their production staff. 

Initially clean room and filter testing industries were the primary customers in Western Europe, however in later years a shift occurred towards air control in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. 

Today, GRIMM provides the most comprehensive AEROSOL product line on the market with an ever-increasing, international customer base. This change in direction finally caused them to change their company name. Effective 1999, they became GRIMM AEROSOL TECHNIK Ainring GmbH & Co. KG. 

Currently, all instruments are “Made in Germany”, and GRIMM Aerosol Technik pursue further expansion plans. With more than 60 employees, the company has been taken over by the DURAG GROUP in Germany. 

Their Headquarter is in Ainring-Berchtesgadener Land, and their production is in Pouch-Muldestausee near Leipzig. 

In October 2015 the GRIMM Aerosol Ainring GmbH & Co. KG has been taken over by the DURAG Group located in Hamburg, Germany. The DURAG Group is a worldwide operating group of companies and one of the market leaders for intelligent solutions in the fields of combustion technology, environmental monitoring, data management as well as tunnel sensors.

Through the acquisition of this worldwide market leader which is also very active in the environmental monitoring industry, they all believe that a larger organization will allow them to provide globally a wider range of best class products with additional services and of course a more intensive and faster development of their products according to changing requirements of your markets.
