In 1987 they founded the Gino Mattarelli Cooperative Group (CGM), to network and enhance social cooperatives throughout Italy and today we are a large network of territorial consortia, distributed throughout Italy, which coordinate the activities of cooperatives and social enterprises.
They are active both in the more traditional fields of personal care (minors, the elderly, immigrants, the disabled) and in emerging and frontier sectors (environment, living, technology, art and culture, tourism, work support).
It is precisely the variety of sectors that bear witness to how their network is a living reality, attentive to the demands of the territory and of the communities, with a very high degree of innovation.
The main role of the cooperative group is to support the action of local networks both through the provision of qualified and advanced corporate services, and through national and European development projects in support of consortia and initiatives to promote new local networks.
