About

The SEG is a limited company with public participation, governed by the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Guinea.

It was created in December 2001 following the institutional reforms made in the urban area of drinking water.

SEG is headquartered in Almamya, common Kaloum, and Conakry.

It is administered by

  • A board of nine members, including the ministries of energy, finance, housing, planning, banks and representatives of the employers and the workers of the SEG
  • A directorate under the authority of a senior coordinator and two deputy coordinators

SEG’s main mission:

  • The production and distribution of drinking water in all urban centers of the country
  • The operation, maintenance, rehabilitation, renewal and development of drinking water facilities
  • All rights of management and resulting obligations
