After WOHNEN and hanova GEWERBE merged to form a municipal group in 2012, they continue to grow together as a real estate group in the state capital of Hanover in 2017.

initial situation
Four companies under one management: since June 1, 2012, hanova WOHNEN GmbH (formerly GBH) and its subsidiary hanova SERVICES GmbH (formerly MSV) together with its sister company hanova GEWERBE GmbH (formerly union-boden) and its subsidiary EXPO GRUND a horizontal group. Although the concept of a group with equal status is mentioned in the law, it is not regulated (Section 18 (2) AktG). In general, this refers to legally independent companies under a single management that are not dependent on one another.
Living, living and working with hanova WOHNEN
The core business of hanova WOHNEN lies in providing the population of the city of Hanover with living space, also by ensuring affordable and social rents. In addition, it constructs, acquires, looks after, manages and administers buildings in all legal and usage forms, takes on tasks that arise in the areas of housing, urban planning and infrastructure, acquires, encumbers and sells plots of land, provides community facilities, shops and commercial buildings, social, economic and cultural institutions/services.
Park and work with hanova BUSINESS
The core business of hanova GEWERBE includes parking garage management and the development, construction and operation of commercial real estate. The company plans, builds and operates multi-storey car parks, underground car parks and other parking facilities, commercial real estate and special real estate, develops and operates commercial space on its own or through its participations. This includes measures to improve the regional economic structure, in particular the acquisition and provision of developed and undeveloped land as well as the construction and operation of buildings that serve municipal interests, such as multi-storey car parks, underground car parks, day-care centers, commercial yards and shopping centers on our own and third-party land and participation in relevant companies. The focus of the work is in the parking segment.
Common cause
The entire real estate know-how from both traditional companies is bundled in a high-performance group. In addition to raising synergy and cooperation potential, the group companies will also open up new lines of business and an improved competitive position through the sensible addition of both portfolios.
The synergies are used for the benefit of the shareholder, the state capital of Hanover, the Sparkasse Hanover and the customers. This applies in particular with regard to the increasing demand for residential and parking space in Hanover and the resulting need for action.
Ecologically and socially sustainable
The core business of the horizontal group concentrates on the sustainable supply of all population groups in Hanover with living space as well as infrastructural measures for stationary traffic and thus provides the building blocks for a livable and mobile city. The offer is supplemented by services related to real estate that fulfill the infrastructural tasks (parking space, day-care centers, schools). The group's services extend across all stages of the value chain: planning, construction, operation and management of real estate. The ecological and social sustainability of the measures is always a fundamental cornerstone.
