About

Helsinki España-Dimensión Humana is an NGO that promotes human rights within the university context on an international level. The organization was founded by Princess Monika zu Löwenstein in 1992 and inspired by the Helsinki Final Act, which was signed in 1975 by the thirty-five states of the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE), which today is The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Helsinki España has been working since the Moscow Conference of 1990, where it was recognized as an organization in the defense of the HUMAN DIMENSION - human rights and fundamental liberties. Its main goal is to promote the education of Human Rights internationally in a university environment tthrough International Meetings, Training Courses and Volunteer Activities. From this, an international network of universities has been created as support for the development of their activities within the university context: The UNIVERSITY NETWORK.

Helsinki España is a founding member of the Spanish Global Compact of the United Nations and considers that appropriate cooperation between the business world and universities can contribute to defending the Human Dimension by working and acting together.
