Hispañola Health Partners is an international, non-profit, health services organization. It is designed to support the self-alleviation of extreme poverty and its devastating effects on community health and welfare. During their initial visit to the village of Marre-Joffrey, where most saw desperation and hopelessness, they saw a community of leaders eager to help themselves. After extensive research, feasibility studies, community surveys, and networking with local community groups, government agencies, and Haitian medical professionals, they committed an investment of expertise and resources to build a sustainable, Haitian-owned program of primary health care service delivery.
Hispañola Health Partners was created to assit local communities in their efforts to improve the quality of life through high quality, low cost healthcare services. Through partnerships with local community groups and the Haitian Ministry of Public Health, the HHP team delivers primary healthcare solutions and services to address the acute heathcare needs of rural populations in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
