With a background in information technology, Ray Hazouri, formed the company in 1993. When Ray Hazouri first tried to get a job as a programmer, the recruitment agencies asked "all the wrong questions". He moved into information technology management roles and when he went back to recruitment agencies to find staff, nothing had changed. Ray decided to become an information technology personnel specialist.
The Edge: HiTech solves a communication problem between information technology people , administrators, managers and the rest of the world. The company consults technical staff as well as human-resources staff and management before recruiting. "Technical staff may specify a position title and assume knowledge that human resources staff and managers do not have," Ray Hazouri says. "What we do is home in on those assumptions." HiTech helps some clients write job specifications. The company makes its own assessment of the appropriate job title before recruiting.
Results: HiTech has proven to be the key to sourcing the right candidates, first time every time. Their clients have seen the value of partnering with HiTech and they reward them by consistently meeting their expectations.
The Future: Hazouri predicts a flurry of mergers and acquisitions as the industry consolidates, driven in part by the need to recruit globally to find qualified candidates. A rationalisation of many industries, including recruitment, will mean a more consistent and 'value adding' service being provide.
