Holding Company for Water and Waste Water offers drinking water treatment and wastewater disposal services. The company provides drinking water purification, desalination, and distribution; wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal; and sludge treatment services. Holding Company for Water and Waste Water was founded in 2004 and is based in Cairo, Egypt.

The Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation was established by the Republican Decree No. 135 of 2004  establishing a holding company for drinking water and sewage, its subsidiary companies, which have the legal personality and subject to the provisions of Law No. 203 of 1991 and its executive regulations.

In accordance with the third paragraph of the aforementioned republican decree, the public economic bodies and the public sector companies for drinking water and sanitation have been transformed into subsidiary companies of the Holding Company subject to the provisions of the Public Companies Companies Law promulgated by Law No. 203 of 1991 to become the number of 25 affiliated companies serving 27 governorate
