Hope for Single Mothers with Disabilities is non-governmental entity operating in Rwanda since 2018 as hope for single mothers with disability which has been registered with operational certificate no 933/ RGB/NGO/OC/08/2021.
HSMD's ultimate objective is to enhance employability and economic engagement of single mothers & girls with disabilities through self-help groups in five districts of Karongi, Kicukiro, Nyagatare, Musanze, Kayonza.
It has a mission to train, develop, and capacitate single mothers with disabilities and vulnerable single mothers to sustainably develop them for a hopeful and stable future.
and founded a core of beliefs to:
-Encourage: To inspire with courage and confidence.
-Capacitate: To train and develop single mothers especially those with disabilities.
-Teach: To impact knowledge and skills to help them learn as by example.
-Help: To provide necessary resources to accomplish a task or satisfy a need
-Equip: To Prepare intellectually.
-Restore: To have their hope restored.
