Hopewell Designs, Inc. began operations in 1994 designing and manufacturing equipment for the calibration of radiation detection equipment and personnel dosimetry. With more than 175 successful installations throughout the Americas and the world, Hopewell Designs, Inc. is a leader in automated irradiators systems for calibration radiation survey meters. They also offer a full complement of radiation shielding products for the nuclear power, research, and well logging industries.

Their staff offers more than 200 man-years of experience in engineering design, systems integration, software development, manufacturing and project management. They work with diverse applications that include irradiator calibration systems, radiation shielding, research irradiators, X-ray inspection systems and automated inspection systems.

Hopewell Designs, Inc. provides automated and manual irradiator systems and radiation shielding for government laboratories, nuclear power plants, private industry, medical laboratories and universities in the Americas and throughout the world. They began operations in 1994 by designing and manufacturing the first fully automated calibration laboratory for the Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site. Today They are the primary provider of automated irradiator systems for calibrating radiation survey meters. Their expertise and experience in radiation and shielding design, software development, systems integration, manufacturing, training, and complex project management enables us to deliver quality products and service for hundreds of clients.

Irradiator Systems:

They manufacture calibration systems for radiation detection instruments and personnel dosimetry. Automated irradiators provide exposure rate calculation with decay correction, automated set up, and automated irradiator calibration.

They also manufacture research irradiators used in applications for cell biology, material testing, and more.

Radiation Shielding:

Their staff has more than 300 man-years of experience designing and building radiation shielding. They provide design and analysis for gamma, neutron, and X-ray shielding and manufacture radiation shielding for a host of applications including shipping casks, ALARA shielding, and storage shields.
