About Them

The Ricardo Gutiérrez Children's Hospital is a highly complex, tertiary, reference hospital for the entire country and neighboring countries. Since its creation in 1875, it set the course for the future of Pediatrics at the national level and all pediatric specialties were developed within it. It was also a pioneer in Teaching (first Residency in Pediatric Clinic in 1958) and in Health Research.

Currently and as a result of more than 130 years of history, it maintains its philosophy based on the comprehensive care of the child and his family in a comprehensive vision that exceeds the sick child and places him at the level of the society that they have to navigate.

Mission

Offer the greatest complexity of care in the care of children and adolescents, becoming a reference center for a true pediatric network, coordinating its activity and services with other hospitals and care centers in an integrated and participatory framework.

The hospital will be, as always, focused on the patient and the needs of the community, with a care, teaching and research profile.
