Horward humphreys is one of East Africa's leading consulting engineering company and has been carrying out project management, engineering design and construction supervision of buildings, roads and transportation, water and sewerage projects in Eastern Africa since 1931. To date, Howard Humphreys has carried out several major projects in the Eastern Africa region.

Howard Humphreys’ roots go back to London UK, where in 1899, the original owners first set up their practice. Howard Humphreys first registered their local practice, in the 1930's and since then have been involved in several major projects in the region which have been successfully engineered and commissioned. In the 1980’s Brown and Root acquired Howard Humphreys. At the end of 1999, Brown & Root transferred full ownership of the Kenyan practice to its Kenyan staff, who established Howard Humphreys (East Africa) Ltd (HHEA). In January 2007 Howard Humphreys (Tanzania) Ltd was acquired by HHEA from Brown & Root.
