The Hungarian Geographic Society, the HUNAGI was founded in 1994.
Objectives:
To increase the usefulness of GIS in social HUNAGI basic objectives are as follows:
-The overall distribution of GIS culture help responsible stewardship of the built and natural environment, infrastructure development, economic development, social policy, environment and heritage protection.
-Describe your offer to geospatial technology opportunities, benefits the government, local governments, business and non-profit sector actors and ordinary citizens.
-Facilitate the transfer of geospatial user culture towards various levels and fields of application, to promote the demystification of the field.
-Accept the National Spatial Data Infrastructure as a fundamental component of the knowledge-based society.
-Promote the potential of global, regional and local location-based services opportunities and threats understanding of the (transport, health, culture, sports, entertainment, environment, climate change, social, environmental design, public space use, public safety).
-Help in finding protect the interests of creators and facilitating user access to spatial data policy, cooperation and division of tasks between the public sector, private sector and private sector.
-Promote an open, freely available map data across applications, GIS field in the cost-sensitive users to access.
-Facilitate dialogue between the special expertise grand tradition of owning GIS workshops and a wider range of users worldwide, two-way flow of information (professional conferences, conferences, work-shops, specialized forms of training).
