Hutan Kita Institute is a legally constituted associations established in Palembang - South Sumatra padatanggal October 1, 2015, registered with the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights on October 23, 2015 under number AHU 0010840.AH.01.07. Hutan Kita Institute members are individuals who have the vision, ideals and the same purpose to the forefront of preservation and protection of forest ecosystems, improve social welfare and encourage access to community governance, so as to create the management of natural resources and sustainable development.

IPR also believes that in pursuing this vision, it should cooperate with various parties, especially people who are recipients of the direct impact of changes in environmental quality. Changes in governance and a better quality of natural resources that can only happen if all government, private, community and environmental activists and social work together and work hard to make these changes.
