Imago Dei Fund is a grant-making organization working with their grantee partners to co-create a more just and more free world in which all human beings can thrive and flourish together. They provide financial support and partnership to grantee partners to operationalize and grow their unique vision and approach to mending the brokenness and injustice of the world. Care of Souls Reclaiming the contemplative, caring for the whole person. Changing the world is hard work and flows from the heart. They invest in partners who are seeking to care for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—and recover the contemplative knowing of God that is so central to the spiritual journey. They seek to invest in efforts to renew and replenish the souls of their grantee partners to “keep the spark alive” and equip them for long-term success. They also invest in New England church-based efforts that seek to reclaim the contemplative essence of their faith traditions that unites them beyond their theological differences. Focus Areas - Intentional Communities - Rediscover Contemplative - Soul Care for Activists Justice & Mercy Alleviating Suffering, Restoring Human Dignity The Hebrew word “Shalom” means peace, wholeness, interdependence and harmony within and between people, God and the natural world. Shalom begins within and extends outward towards others and the world in which people live. Shalom is not just a lofty abstract ideal but also earthy and practical and presumes a level playing field of justice. The mandate of restoring shalom in the world is all of theirs; a continual process for the larger good of the human family. To this end, IDF invests in social change that gives vulnerable people the opportunity to thrive and realize their true potential. They are also committed to advancing human rights, human dignity and gender balance. They seek to mend a broken world where girls and women are devalued, oppressed, and denied basic human agency and necessities like education and health care. They seek to not just combat social and economic ills burdening marginalized people, but also to transform the cultural, religious and traditional ideas and structures that sanction and perpetuate them. They stand behind inspired change agents who are challenging cultural and religious systems that perpetuate injustice, who offer water and bread to the thirsty and hungry, and who help break the cycle of poverty by providing access to capital and business training. Focus Areas - Biblical Racial & Gender Reconciliation - Church-based Community Support - Disaster Relief - Economic Empowerment - Educational Equity - Gender-based Violence & Oppression - Holistic Community Development/Human Rights - Leadership Development for Women - Maternal & Child Health - Philanthropic Collaboration Care of Creation Caring for the gift of God's creation The Imago Dei Fund seeks to support efforts that offer a uniquely Christian perspective on their responsibility to care for creation, work with others in this shared work, and have a particular priority on areas in which creation care intersects with care for the poor. Focus Areas - Grantees working in Care of Creation Philosophy & Mission Motivated by their faith and a commitment to the inherent dignity and common humanity of all people, they invest around the world in visionary and impactful organizations working to advance universal human rights, gender balance, justice and spiritual holism.
