A community of entrepreneurship, impact and innovation. Impact Hub Medellin is a social enterprise located in a +2,200 square meters coworking space, with 360 workstations, 20 meeting rooms, 1 auditorium.

Operating in more than 15 programs aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, networking events, a flexible and inspiring workspace and meeting and conference rooms. You will also access incubation programs, acceleration and international cooperation. More than a space, they offer a community of connections, ecosystem, knowledge and innovation. Impact Hub Medellín develops Impact, Ideation, Incubation, Acceleration, Scaling, Open Innovation, Promotion and Research programs


Some of the Programs of Impact Hub Medellin

 

  • Impact Agents

Aimed at adolescents between 10 and 17 years old, who through playful methodologies can approach the concept of entrepreneurship and who, through prototyping techniques, design solutions for their communities on issues such as health, well-being, the environment and urban space. It is a Social Entrepreneurship program, unique and first of its kind in the city of Medellín, aimed at girls and boys from vulnerable communities, whose objective is the creation of soft and technical skills, in order to create minimum viable products, taking into account account for the specific needs of each community.

 

  • Women in Tech

The program aims to inspire young women from to excel in tech careers. Its purpose is to contribute to a world in which women are proportionally represented as technical leaders, executives, founders, venture capitalists, board members and software engineers. Through the program, Impact Hub Medellin empower young women with the necessary skills for professional achievement. The elements that are part of the program are trainings, articles, videos and other educational materials to excel, find leadership opportunities and that expand their skills.

 

  • GGWCUP

The GGWCUP is a World Cup for women's teams of all ages and of all sporting levels. To participate, a team must choose one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, and implement a project in their community based on that SDG. Teams are ranked according to how they perform for the SDG on and off the field and compete to be champions. Impact Hub Medellin is the official implementation partners for the national territory of Colombia. The GGWCUP is a 5v5 street soccer tournament, for all-female teams.

 

  • Redefining the Future of Cities

Is an online conference series, highlighting partnerships for sustainable cities and communities. The initiative aims to elevate forward-thinking conversations with experts from industries and countries, to showcase how companies are addressing SDG 11. Topics include urban design, mobility, vulnerable communities, access to green spaces, as well as inclusive human settlements and public policies, among others.

 

  • Cada día Cuenta

Hackathon to create challenges and solutions to face Covid-19 from social innovation and citizen responsibility. Given that our purpose is to generate positive social impact, they want to reinforce the importance of the role that we all have to fulfill in the face of Covid-19. This hackathon is the first of its kind and the solutions we develop are for Latin American countries, for the region and for the world.


  • Impacto Latam

It is a Latin American pre incubation program in virtual format that seeks to facilitate the execution of innovative and high impact projects led by entrepreneurs. Seven weeks of training composed of modules that will take your idea to a high-impact business model. You can use their networks such as Impact Hubs to connect with more opportunities, for example, other competitions, investment opportunities, strategic allies, etc.
