About

The Industry Promotion Fund (Fonds de Promotion de l’Industrie, FPI) is a public body, created 20 years ago, and aimed at helping the industrial sector to develop itself within the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based in Kinshasa, with subsidiaries in the various provinces of the country, the FPI has supported, up to now, more than 600 projects.

The FPI is a public administrative and financial establishment, with legal personality created by ordinance n ° 89-171 of August 07, 1989 and transformed by decree n ° 09/64 of December 03, 2009. 

The main objective of the Industry Promotion Fund (FPI) is to promote the development of the Congolese industry by:

  • Support for existing industries;
  • The promotion of new industries;
  • The promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises;
  • The promotion of industrial integration in general and in particular between small and large units, between the industrial and agricultural sectors;
  • The promotion and activities of applied research allowing the development of the industrial sector.
