INSPEC International Ltd is the world's leading independent organisation for the testing and certification of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), for inter-laboratory comparisons and for the design and supply of related laboratory test equipment. Their scope of activities covers all types of PPE - from head to toe.
They have been in business in the United Kingdom since 1981 and in China since 2002. They now provide their services and products to a wide range of clients - from the largest to the smallest - all around the world. They are a 'family firm' and currently employ about 40 staff, operating seven laboratories and four office locations.
They offer testing to European, American, Canadian and Australian PPE standards, CE marking to the European PPE Directive and PPE Regulation, Wheel marking to the European Marine Equipment Directive and certification of Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001. They also operate an accredited product certification programme for PPE, the IC Mark and are well on the way to offering an accredited certification service against ISO 14001, Environmental Management Systems.
In cooperation with the Safety Equipment Institute (SEI) in the USA, they also provide PPE testing and certification programmes for the North American market.
Their certification services are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and their testing and inter-laboratory comparison services are accredited by ANAB.
