Missions

In accordance with article 3 of decree N ° 91-656 of October 9, 1991, the missions assigned to the INHP ​​are as follows:

• The application of the health policy in terms of general hygiene.
• Prophylaxis and control of transmissible bacterial, viral, and parasitic endemics.
• The national technical directorate of the Expanded Vaccination Program (EPI)
• The execution of teaching and research activities.

Practical content of missions

The four (04) axes essential to the implementation of the general prevention policy are vaccination, general hygiene, medical monitoring, and epidemiological surveillance, study, training and research.
