Institute for Plant Protection and Environment (IZBIS) is a modern scientific research organization, a research and development institute with 70 years long tradition of research in the field of plant protection. The main activity of the Institute is scientific research in the field of biotechnical and natural-mathematical sciences - biotechnics, biology, chemistry, which unites research from the following scientific disciplines: phytopathology, herbology, entomology, nematology, ecology and environmental protection. The Institute has four research departments in which 22 doctors of science (biotechnical, agricultural, biological and ecological sciences) are engaged, 2 master of sciences (biotechnical and agricultural sciences), 11 doctoral theses in the field of biotechnical, biotechnological and biological sciences and 3 doctoral theses - scholar of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.
