An autonomous institution with technical and functional independence, which provides free legal defense service in the criminal field, assisting syndicates with limited economic resources for the possible commission of a crime; in accordance with the provisions of the Political Constitution of the Republic of Guatemala, international treaties and conventions on Human Rights ratified by the State of Guatemala and the Law of the Public Service of Criminal Defense.

Mission

They are an institution that administers the free public service of criminal defense, to people with limited economic resources who are accused of committing an act that may constitute a crime or misdemeanor.
