The Honduran Institute of Social Security, IHSS, constitutes a public service at the service of social justice, which aims to guarantee the human right to social security. MISSION The Institution has defined that it is an entity with social security functions, which through a technical organization and national coverage, guarantees access to services with a focus on quality, efficiency, effectiveness, equity and warmth, aimed at people and for benefit of the family, in search of contributing to the integral prosperity of Honduras. VISION To be a modern, leading and prestigious institution, with universal coverage based on Principles and Values, with qualified, creative and stable human resources, which provides health security services and comprehensive social security focused on the person; with a high degree of satisfaction and credibility, contributing to improve the quality of life of families.
