For fifteen years the IEB has invested in people and in supporting the strengthening of organized institutions, establishing relationships between the conservation of natural resources and the economic, social and cultural dimensions of sustainability. With recognized experience in creating partnerships, it is a reference in the leadership of consortia and in the articulation of civil society entities such as socio-environmental organizations, companies and governments. The results of these actions contribute to the creation of public spaces for dialogue and the rapprochement between social actors.
IEB also systematizes, organizes, publishes and disseminates knowledge resulting from the activities of its programs and projects and its interaction with the various socio-environmental, economic and cultural contexts, actors and dynamics. The Institute now has a portfolio of more than 46 publications, commercialized or distributed free of charge.
In all its activities, it applies its own approach, based on participative, replicable and integrative methodologies, supporting the construction of a more just and sustainable society, with respect to the people in their territories, diversity, individualities, cultures and characteristics Regional authorities.

Communities of the Brazilian Amazon, mainly in the south of the Amazon and in the territory of Pará: riparian, extractivists, settlers of agrarian reform and indigenous peoples, as well as professionals and students from the socio-environmental area, private and public sector.
