The National Institute of Agricultural Innovation (INIA) is a specialized technical agency of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and governing body of the National System of Agricultural Innovation (SNIA).
Lead research and contribute to inclusive and sustainable agricultural innovation in coordination with SNIA actors, to promote the productive sector with food security.

WHAT DO THEY DO?
They develop research activities, technology transfer, conservation and use of genetic resources, as well as the production of seeds, seedlings and reproducers of high genetic value.
THey articulate and regulate research, development and innovation (R + D + i) with SNIA actors, oriented towards competitiveness, food security and adaptation to climate change.
THey formulate, propose and execute the national policy and the agricultural innovation plan.
Promote and execute various activities that facilitate the development and strengthening of national agricultural technological innovation for food security and increase the levels of competitiveness of agricultural production, especially aimed at the social inclusion of small and medium producers.
INSTITUTIONAL STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
Generate knowledge that allows agricultural innovation with the actors of the National Agricultural Innovation System - SNIA.
Strengthen the positioning of the INIA to increase the productivity of the agricultural sector.
Articulate and regulate Research, Development and Innovation (R + D + I) with the actors of the National Agrarian Innovation System - SNIA, oriented towards competitiveness, food security and adaptation to climate change.
