Prestigious publishers and efficient group-wide services have made Editis number two in the world of French publishing and a major player in Europe. Editis has a clearly stated objective: to strengthen its position on the French market, to continue its growth, and to expand its influence throughout the French-speaking world. Interforum         Interforum provides authors, publishers, and bookstores with an effective partner for getting books into the hands of readers in France and abroad. Interforum, a distribution subsidiary, develops comprehensive solutions to meet the expectations of publishers, on the one hand, and client bookstores in France and internationally, on the other. At the distribution centers in Malesherbes and Ivry, all the teams cooperate closely to enable the partners to calibrate their publishing policies and optimize their marketing strategies, thus creating a constant flow of information between all the players in the book chain.   Services for publishers  > The Marketing service: Interforum was the first distributor to adopt a marketing approach and has developed tools that give it access to precise, innovative market expertise. It also offers an “à la carte” range of services that enable booksellers and readers to find precisely what they want, giving sales a boost. > Customer and publisher relations: in Ivry, the publisher relations department serves as a close link between publishers and the sales teams in order to optimize launches. In Malesherbes, the customer relations department handles information, order taking and after-sales service. This department also works closely with publishers with respect to title withdrawals and promotional mail order sales. > Commercial management: a permanent dialogue, meticulously prepared sales actions, the regular monitoring of sales to ensure a comprehensive sales approach – the Interforum sales force works closely with publishers to get a better understanding of their expectations. > The Records department: the records service continuously catalogues and checks the information needed to record publications. The customer records service gathers information about customers in order to facilitate invoicing and better target marketing operations. The databases are updated daily in order to ensure that information and exchanges with partners are relevant in real time.
