Their Mission
InterIm CDA advances social justice and equity for low-income, Asian, Pacific Islander, immigrant, and refugee communities.
Who They Are
They are a nonprofit affordable housing and community development organization based in Seattle’s Chinatown/International District. InterIm CDA provides multi-lingual, culturally competent housing-related and community building services to Asian, Pacific Islander, and immigrant and refugee communities in Seattle.
What They Do
They provide housing services and real estate development, building low-income housing projects and mixed-use projects. They provide asset building services to residents of two of their apartment complexes and clients they serve. They advocate on behalf of their clients and low-income people, particularly those living in the Chinatown-International District. They help build sustainable communities by leading neighborhood improvement projects and teaching leadership development for high school students through the WILD program. They connect elders, youth, and younger children through the Danny Woo International District Community Garden and their Intergenerational program. They also manage several community parking lots in the neighborhood to support local businesses and people who work or shop in the Chinatown-International District.
