Research for Development - id , is a research center, constituted in 2003 with the mission of generating and socializing the knowledge concerning Development and the contribution for the design and evaluation of Public Policies in order to improve living conditions of the population. It is a member of regional networks of knowledge generation and application centers for development.

Research for Development, constituted by an interdisciplinary staff of professionals with vast experience who lead the work, and young people who in the framework of the tasks are strengthening their knowledge and practices. In this way the institution increases national capacities for research in: design, management and evaluation of public policies, equating it with the standards of the region. The id is ranked 42nd in the ranking of the University of Pennsylvania.
