Who They Are – About ISS Relocations

ISS Relocations has been reborn as a standalone entity, with a legacy spanning more than two decades.

The company’s journey began in 1996 as Mac Movers, operating under Mackenzie Logistics as one of its business lines alongside freight forwarding and liner services. In 2000, the brand evolved into ISS Worldwide Movers under the Inchcape Shipping Service umbrella, working closely with the ISS Cargo division of the Inchcape Group.

A significant milestone came in 2018, when the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD)—the principal investment arm of the Government of Dubai—announced the launch of ISS Global Forwarding. This wholly owned subsidiary was established to focus on end-to-end supply chain logistics. The initiative was part of a strategic directive by the Government of Dubai to separate Inchcape Shipping Services Holding Ltd. into two independent companies, enabling each to maximize its growth potential, customer focus, and core competencies in marine services and supply chain logistics. Today, ISS Global Forwarding is headquartered in Dubai and operates from the Dubai Airport Free Zone.

ISS Relocations Reborn

In July 2019, the relocations and removals business of ISS Global Forwarding—operating under the brand ISS Relocations in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and India—was sold, along with its assets and experienced team, to a UAE-based private investor, the CSS Group. This strategic move was intended to establish ISS Relocations as an independent and more prominent brand, with an eye toward expansion across the Middle East and South Asia. The CSS Group’s primary objective was to carve the division out from its parent company and position it as a globally recognized brand, capitalizing on both the strong track record of the team and future growth opportunities. In the long term, the group envisions ISS Relocations becoming the preferred choice for individuals, corporates, and agents seeking relocation and removals services.

In June 2020, as part of this growth strategy, ISS Relocations expanded its market share through the acquisition of P&R, the relocation business of Inchcape Worldwide Movers. Inchcape, a well-known name in the industry, was a member of major international moving associations such as FIDI, IAM, PAIMA, Worldwide ERC, BAR, ARA, GEMS Network, and EUROMOVERS, and held certifications including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14000:2015. Inchcape Worldwide Movers had operated as the packing and relocations division of Inchcape Shipping Services, with an established presence in the Middle East since 1996.
