About

With over 800 employees around the world, ITC Ltd is wholly-owned by the University of Wollongong, but operates as an autonomous entity with a Board of Directors drawn from the University and private industry. This connection facilitates the integration of UOW’s internationally-acclaimed academic and research excellence with ITC’s commercial experience in education and training.

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is one of the ITC Group’s key activities. Established in 1993, UOWD was the first western university to be licensed by the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Higher Education. Located in Knowledge Village, an educational precinct a short distance from the heart of the city, UOWD is an English-speaking facility with around 2,500 students from more than 80 nationalities.

ITC operates the recruiting and marketing arm of UOW as well as Wollongong College Australia (WCA), which delivers English language and University pathway programs. Since 2006 ITC has been a Higher Education Provider, allowing the company to expand its tertiary education business and access FEE-HELP for Australian students at WCA.

New developments at ITC have seen the company venture into aviation and film. ITC has bought a controlling share in the International Film School Sydney (IFSS) and has recently acquired The International School of Aviation Australia, which offers Australian and international aviation qualifications.

ITC is headquartered on UOW’s Wollongong campus, 80km south of Sydney, but has a presence at locations throughout Australia and the world.
