The Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation popularly known as JCLEC was officially opened in July 2004. Since its inception, as a bilateral partnership between Indonesia and Australia, JCLEC has become a centre of enforcement training excellence.
This reflects the determination and commitment of considerable resources by of the founders together with the active support of partner Governments and international law enforcement agencies, primarily INTERPOL and ASEANAPOL, among other institutions.
JCLEC offers a unique range of advanced and vital training to combat terrorism and other transnational forms of crime, contributing to safety and stability across Indonesia, Asia Pacific and indeed reaching out to other enforcement agencies worldwide.
This year the centre plans to host 1,000 courses serving the needs of regional police forces, central and local government departments, border security and specialist crime units.
