Currently, there are over 400 international cooperation NGOs in Japan and it is active in more than 100 countries around the world to solve social problems such as poverty, hunger, environmental destruction, conflict, disaster etc. However, many of them are smaller in scale than NGOs in Europe and the United States, and have various problems such as securing human resources and funds.
JANIC aims to promote collaboration and collaboration among NGOs, governments, companies, labor unions, local governments, etc., by maximizing the power of NGOs and promoting social problem solving by creating networks. Founded in 1987, it is one of the leading network NGOs in Japan with Japanese NGOs as regular members.
