The Japanese Red Cross Academy was established in 1954 as the higher education department of the nurse training facility operated by the Japanese Red Cross Society. Based on the mission of the Red Cross, which is to protect human life, health and dignity, they train nurses and caregivers who can play an active role in Japan and overseas. As a nursing and care welfare institution with a junior college, they are proud to send out many excellent human resources to society.
The Red Cross is an international organization and a movement body that utilizes a global network that extends to 192 countries and regions to develop various humanitarian aid activities. Although the Red Cross was established in Japan in 1877, it began training nurses in 1890, and has a history of more than 130 years. This nurse training project is one of the important projects of the Japanese Red Cross Society, and their school plays a part in it.
