Kalyana Shira Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in October 2006 on the basis of concern for the founders and members of the women's issues, gender, children and other marginal groups. The founder of Kalyana Shira Foundation is active film workers engaged and active since the post-reform era in Indonesia and became part of the filmmakers who have contributed in stretching the film back in the country and the appreciation of the Indonesian people against Indonesian films. His works include Ca Bau Kan, Biola Tak Berdawai, Arisan and Share husband who always touches on themes related to the lives of Indonesian women.
These films have stimulating discussions and efforts to improve the welfare of women in Indonesia that continue long after the movies finished its run in cinemas. Through the work of the big screen and audio-visual works, Kalyana Shira Foundation wants to contribute in providing information, turn a medium of expression for women, children and marginalized people who still do not get a place in Indonesian films in general.
