KAM DOO was founded in Skopje in 1999, as a trading company that started with only one market in the City Shopping Center. The name KAM is an abbreviation of the surname of the founder Gotse Kamchev.

KAM Market is the first chain of hard-discount type markets that exist on the Macedonian market. There are 80 KAM markets operating in Macedonia, located throughout the Republic of Macedonia. The company has approximately 1200 employees.
