The company was formed by Basil Kantey in 1953.  Since then we have built up a long history of successful projects across Africa; serving our clients from the major centres in South Africa.  Our client spread covers a wide range of international, national, regional, local and community organizations in both the public and private sectors.

Kantey & Templer provides services ranging from technical advice to a total design and construction package.  With many successful projects in the infrastructure, industrial, retail, commercial and residential fields, Kantey & Templer also offers a comprehensive range of consulting services including geotechnical investigations, feasibility studies, planning, design, documentation, contract administration and multidisciplinary project management.

Our company is specifically structured to enable us to undertake large scale projects, yet remain small enough for the principals to maintain a “hands-on” involvement in all projects.  Our tailor made services are designed to meet the specific requirements of our clients; providing everything from technical advice to a total design and construction package.

EXPERTISE

Kantey & Templer is able to offer both a dedicated and multi-disciplinary service in their fields of expertise.  Office specialisation may be influenced by area requirements, however with group resources at hand a comprehensive package is available throughout South Africa.  Strategic alliances with other professionals also allow the firm to offer associated disciplines and undertake any project for the built environment. The firm currently has eight offices in South Africa with a total staff complement of 190 people of which 40 are professional specialists and a further 110 technical support staff.
