Karolinska University Hospital is one of Europe's largest university hospitals. Together with Karolinska Institutet, we lead the medical development in Sweden. Healthcare, research and education are equally important parts of the work to prolong and improve people's lives.
Every year, 1.5 million patients visit the hospital, most of them from the Stockholm region, but Karolinska also receives patients from other parts of the country and other countries.
The new Karolinska Solna project creates new conditions for Karolinska University Hospital to provide the most advanced care. The new hospital will receive the first patients in 2016.
